Admission Procedures

Dear Parent(s),
Thank you for your interest in CHildren's Intervention Learning & Development Our organization offers treatment and education for children with various disorders and disabilities. CH.I.L.D offers year round services that include an Educational Learning Center, Intensive Behavioral Intervention for individuals and groups of children, social skills groups, and summer camp programs.

The Referral Process

The Administrative Coordinator completes a telephone intake with interested parents. Thereafter a referral packet is mailed to you with our information. In the referral packet you will find our Newsletter, and various brochures. Once you determine that CH.I.L.D. is appropriate for your needs contact the Administrative Coordinator to arrange a tour of our facility.
Admission into our Learning Center is based on the following:

  •  Completion of an admission application form with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee    
  •  Diagnostic and other psychological records.

  •  Previous Educational reports and assessments.

  •  An admission meeting between parents and the director. During this meeting the director       will meet with your child and family to discuss needs. During this time you would     have completed the preliminary forms for services. The director will discuss available     program options, level of intensity, costs and funding options.

  •  A complete developmental assessment (*partial assessment fees arranged with the     consulting psychologist. Fees are covered under most insurance plans.)

    Admission Criteria

We do not have standardized admission criteria. Children with special needs are accepted. Some common disabilities/ disorders that we provide intensive intervention for include:

Autism
PDD
Asperger Syndrome
Tourette Syndrome
Down Syndrome
Cerebral Palsy
Communication Disorders
Learning Disabilities
Prader-Willi Syndrome
Fragile X Syndrome
ADD/ ADHD
Behavioral Issues
Angeleman’s Syndrome


The age requirement for the Learning Center is 2.5 years of age. There is no age requirement for all other treatment services at CH.I.L.D Inc. Children should be enrolled early as space in limited to ensure quality programming. Priority is given to siblings of the families currently enrolled into our center.

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit applied towards the tuition is due at the signing of the contract.
