Consulting Psychologists

Dr. James Bebko provides clinical consultation to families involved in CH.I.L.D Ltd., as well as diagnostic assessments for children and youth with Autism and related disorders.

He is a registered Psychologist, with a long-standing commitment to the field of Autism and developmental disabilities, having worked with these children and adolescents for more than 25 years.

Dr. Bebko is a professor in the Clinical-Developmental Psychology Program at the Department of Psychology, York University. He has published research articles in some of the major research journals on Child Development, Autism, Deafness and Language Disorders, and has presented his work at a variety of international conferences.

Prior to joining the faculty of York University, Dr. Bebko was a Psychologist with the Geneva Center for Autism and Communication Disorders. He has been a consulting Psychologist to many other agencies serving children with developmental disabilities in Ontario, including Adventure Place and Simcoe Community Behavioral Services. He also provides diagnostic, assessment and consultation services directly to families.
